Our mission is to build upon your child's strengths to promote further independence in activities of daily life and to empower every child to their fullest potential. We have a child-centered and holistic approach in assessing your child to understand how occupational therapy can most positively impact their life.
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a health profession that helps people across the lifespan to participate in activities they need and want to do daily. Pediatric OT helps children with disabilities and those at risk for developmental delays, participate in school, play, socialization, and age-appropriate self-care skills.
Occupational Therapists develop individualized plans and goals after conducting assessments and family interviews essential for the best treatment outcome and client satisfaction.
By collaborating with each child's parents, caregivers, health professionals and teachers, we determine a treatment plan that addresses the immediate as well as long term needs of each munchkin we work with and the families they are a part of.
We will complete an initial assessment to establish what stage your child's skills are at in their developmental level. Then, in conjunction with their family, we will develop a treatment plan to facilitate progress as needed.
Our therapists will work with your child addressing the following:
A majority of our therapies are offered in thirty minute up to one hour blocks. Depending on each child’s needs, both the parent and therapist will decide the length of the session.
We consult with parents to help develop systems that allow them to streamline their lives so that all their child's needs are covered and met effectively. Examples include: medications, daily activities, equipment, medical and therapy appointments, working with different therapies and durable medical equipment vendors, etc.
